Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Special Educational Needs
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs (SEN) in mainstream schools across East Devon.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and group support to students with SEN, helping them access the curriculum and fully participate in school life.
- Work closely with class teachers and SENCos to implement tailored support plans and foster the development of social, emotional, and communication skills.
- Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, utilising sensory aids, structured routines, and other strategies to enhance learning.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children, particularly those with SEN.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of SEN strategies, such as visual supports and assistive technology, is desirable.
