About The Role

As a Home Care Assistant with HC-One, you will provide care and support to individuals in their own homes. This involves travelling between clients in the community and our retirement villages. You will perform a variety of tasks according to the Person Centred Care Plan, which may change periodically based on the needs and wishes of the customer. Our comprehensive training program includes shadow training with an experienced worker to ensure you feel confident and prepared for the role.

Our team is growing, and we have immediate opportunities for part-time and full-time candidates. A full-time contract offers a flexible 30-hour week, while part-time requires a minimum commitment of 16 hours weekly. Due to the location, you will need to be willing to travel and have a valid driver's license with business insurance. You will be paid your full hourly rate of £11.09 from the beginning of your shift to the end, including travel time and breaks. Your rate increases to £11.28 per hour on weekends, and you will also receive 45p for every mile driven between calls.

About You

We are looking for individuals who value kindness above all and prioritize the needs of their clients. As a Home Care Assistant, you will support clients with daily living tasks, such as personal care, bathing, and medication management. You may also assist with domestic support, such as housework, laundry, and shopping. Some clients require assistance with financial matters, such as collecting pensions or managing bills. You may also accompany clients to social activities or outings.

If you have previous experience in a care environment, that's a plus, but not essential. What's most important is that you are reliable, kind, and caring, with a flexible approach to work. You will be friendly, approachable, and able to quickly build rapport with clients, while maintaining their dignity and respect.
