About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Strategic Engagement Director to lead our Communications, Marketing, and Community Engagement teams at Lancaster City Council.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly capable individual to work at the heart of the council, driving comms and marketing efforts during an exciting time for the district, while continuing our good work on community engagement with a fresh perspective.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading multi-disciplinary teams, experience in communications, marketing, and community engagement, and a talent for developing a customer experience strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the Communications, Marketing, and Community Engagement teams
  • Develop and implement a customer experience strategy
  • Review and improve our approach to community engagement
  • Lead on health-focused partnerships, working collaboratively to support delivery of Happy and Healthy Communities
