**Job Summary**

The Doncaster Council is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to fill the role of Clerk to the Council and Responsible Financial Officer. This is a part-time position of 15 hours per week, requiring the successful candidate to work from their own home address, except for attendance at meetings held in the Parish Rooms.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Manage the council's administration and services for the people of the three villages of Norton, Campsall, and Sutton.
  • Service council meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, compile correspondence, file documents, and maintain accounts.
  • Perform the statutory role of Responsible Financial Officer, undertaking research, advising the council, and carrying out other duties as necessary.
  • Become familiar with legislation for the parish sector and maintain IT literacy, using the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Have use of a laptop computer and store Council equipment and files at their home address.

**Requirements**

  • Prior relevant experience in local government administration.
  • Holding the Certificate in Local Council Administration or being willing to access training to obtain the qualification.
  • IT literacy and ability to use the Microsoft Office suite.

**Salary and Benefits**

The salary for this position falls within the NJC scale 24 – 28, ranging from £17.16 to £19.05 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
