Parish Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to take on the role of Clerk to the Council and Responsible Financial Officer. This is a part-time position of 15 hours per week, with the successful applicant working from their own home address, except for attendance at meetings held in the Parish Rooms.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the council's administration and services for the people of Norton, Campsall, and Sutton.
- Service council meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, and compile correspondence.
- Compile and maintain files, accounts, and other records.
- Undertake research, advise the council, and carry out other duties as required.
- Be familiar with legislation for the parish sector and have IT literacy skills.
- Prior relevant experience in local government administration.
- Hold the Certificate in Local Council Administration or be willing to access training to obtain the qualification.
- Be IT literate and able to use the Microsoft Office suite.
- A competitive salary within the NJC scale 24 – 28, from £17.16 to £19.05 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
