Purchase Ledger Clerk Job Description

Andy File Associates Limited is working with a growing logistics business based in Doncaster to recruit an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk. This newly created role within the Finance Team will be responsible for processing relevant paperwork, managing supplier relationships, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Raising purchase orders upon request from internal colleagues
  • Monitoring accounts emails inbox to extract supplier documents
  • Uploading purchase invoices to the operational system
  • Ownership of Xero Purchase Ledger to ensure supplier data is transferred correctly
  • Supplier statement reconciliation
  • Generating month-end reports
  • Maintaining a working relationship with the Finance Manager

This role will be supported by an apprentice within the Finance Team, who will assist the Purchase Ledger Clerk with their duties. The successful candidate will be based at the client's head office, working Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm. Occasional local travel may be required.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years purchase ledger experience
  • Confident telephone communicator
  • Team player
  • Strong organisational skills
