Salary Information

The estimated salary for this role is £18,000 - £22,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description

  • Personal Care Assistance: Provide hands-on assistance with personal care tasks such as washing, grooming, dressing, and toileting, while respecting the dignity and privacy of each client.
  • Meal Preparation: Assist clients with meal planning, preparation, taking into consideration their dietary preferences, restrictions, and nutritional needs.
  • Medication Reminders: Prompt clients to take their medications as prescribed and assist with medication management as needed, ensuring adherence to medication schedules and dosage instructions.
  • Companionship: Foster meaningful companionship with clients by engaging in conversation, participating in leisure activities, accompanying them on outings, and providing emotional support and encouragement.
  • Household Support: Assist clients with light housekeeping tasks such as tidying up living spaces, doing laundry, changing bedding, and organizing belongings to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Transportation: Provide transportation assistance to clients for errands, appointments, and social engagements, using your own vehicle.
  • Communication: Maintain open and clear communication with clients, their families, and the care team to ensure continuity of care, report any changes in clients' conditions or needs, and address any concerns or questions promptly and professionally.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A strong understanding of personal care and support principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license (if applicable)
