Advanced Community Forensic Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Community Forensic Specialist to join our team at Devon Partnership NHS Trust. As a member of our Community Forensic Team, you will play a vital role in delivering integrated care and support services to individuals with complex mental health needs.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including service users, carers, and statutory agencies. A strong understanding of the Care Act 2014, Mental Health Act 1989, and CPA process is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
- To contribute to the team's engagement with a wide range of stakeholders, including staff, service users, carers, and statutory agencies
- To provide statutory Adult Social Care, Care Management functions (assessment, care planning, and reviewing)
- To liaise with a wide range of statutory and non-statutory agencies, central to this role
Requirements:
- BSC, BA, MA, in Social Work DIPSW or CQSW qualification
- Training to level 3 in Safeguarding children and young people: roles and competencies for Health Care staff
- Registration with Social Work England
- An understanding of recovery principles in Mental Health and how these align with strengths-based Social Work Practice
- Knowledge and understanding of application of an evidence-base in practice
- Satisfactory completion of the assessed and supported year in employment (ASYE) or a minimum of two years post-registration experience
- Working within an inpatient/community mental health or social care setting, in either the statutory or voluntary sector
