Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Composite Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Rolls-Royce plc in Bristol, UK. This role will give you an opportunity to develop within the Manufacturing team and influence the creation and delivery of the next generation composite fan system.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering machining programmes and processes for a range of composite components from fan blades to structures, ensuring that the manufacturing techniques meet customer requirements for Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Lead time.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Delivery of machining programmes and processes for composite components.
  2. Ensuring machining techniques meet customer requirements.
  3. Development of technical packages to define the manufacturing process.
  4. Identification of opportunities for new or improved processes using statistical process control.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have an engineering degree/HND/HNC and previous experience working in a manufacturing engineering role. Hands-on practical experience with CNC machines is essential, as well as experience in CAD modelling and CAM programming for 5 axis CNC machines.
