Senior Commercial Banking Director

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Banking Director to join our team in the United Kingdom. As a key member of our commercial banking team, you will be responsible for driving innovation and executing strategic initiatives across the franchise.

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary of £120,000 - £180,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About You

  • You have significant relevant experience in commercial banking, with a strong understanding of all aspects of commercial banking, including commercial credit knowledge and product management.
  • You possess sound judgment and are creative in providing solutions to bank clients across the entire set of Citi capabilities (including Services, Markets, Lending and Investment Banking).
  • You have excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team setting and interact with internal and external constituencies.
  • You have a proven track record of successfully managing and leading teams through complex change, with a reputation for retaining, attracting and developing talent.
  • You have a sharp business development focus and demonstrate innovative approaches.
  • You are able to quickly adapt priorities based on the latest data insights.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Drive innovation on the solutions we provide clients through partnerships with product specialists and subject matter experts, while structuring deals that balance risk and reward.
  2. Execution of strategic initiatives launched centrally at all levels of the franchise.
  3. Oversee client credit relationships, coordinating and supervising the entire process, ensuring the proper application of policies and institutional processes.
  4. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Citi's policies/guidelines at all times.
  5. Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred and managerial experience.
  • Significant relevant experience in commercial banking, with a strong understanding of all aspects of commercial banking, including commercial credit knowledge and product management.
  • Possesses sound judgment and is creative in providing solutions to bank clients across the entire set of Citi capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team setting and interact with internal and external constituencies.
  • Able to quickly adapt priorities based on the latest data insights.
