Citi is seeking a highly experienced Business Director to lead our Commercial Banking team in the Europe, Middle East & Africa region. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to join our dynamic organization and drive business growth.

About the Role

As a Business Director, you will be responsible for managing multiple teams and driving commercial banking strategies across the region. You will work closely with senior leadership to develop and implement business plans, identify new opportunities, and optimize existing relationships. Your expertise in commercial credit knowledge, market analysis, and risk management will be invaluable in driving business decisions.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in commercial banking, with a strong understanding of complex capital structures, cross-border transactions, and regulatory requirements. They will possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire their team to deliver exceptional results.

We are committed to providing a competitive salary package, which includes an estimated base salary of $150,000 per annum, plus bonuses and benefits based on individual performance and company success. Our comprehensive compensation package reflects our commitment to attracting and retaining top talent in the industry.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, from small businesses to large corporations, and develop strategic partnerships that drive revenue growth and profitability. You will also contribute to the development of our global commercial banking strategy, working closely with our international teams to identify emerging trends and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive commercial banking strategies across the region, identifying new opportunities and optimizing existing relationships
  • Manage multiple teams, providing coaching and guidance to ensure exceptional results
  • Develop and implement business plans, working closely with senior leadership to achieve key objectives
  • Contribute to the development of our global commercial banking strategy, identifying emerging trends and opportunities
  • Maintain a deep understanding of commercial credit knowledge, market analysis, and risk management principles
Qualifications and Experience

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree, with a master's degree or higher preferred
  • Significant experience in commercial banking, with a strong understanding of complex capital structures, cross-border transactions, and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire your team
  • A proven track record of driving business growth and delivering exceptional results
  • A deep understanding of commercial credit knowledge, market analysis, and risk management principles
