Commercial Banking Director

The Commercial Banking Director will lead the UK Industrials team, overseeing client credit relationships and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and Citi's policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive innovation in client solutions through partnerships with product specialists and subject matter experts.
  • Oversee client credit relationships, coordinating and supervising the entire process.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Citi's policies at all times.
  • Attract, retain, and motivate a team, managing a budget and meeting team sales goals.
  • Assess risk when making business decisions, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of commercial banking, including strong commercial credit knowledge and the ability to quickly learn new products and services.
  • Provide solutions to bank clients across Citi capabilities, including Services, Markets, Lending, and Investment Banking.
  • Have significant experience with commercial credit decision-making authority, including complex capital structures and cross-border transactions.
  • Have intermediate-level credit skills, with the capability to demonstrate advanced-level credit skills.
  • Manage a team, including management of people, budget, and planning, with duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions, and terminations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred, and managerial experience.
