Community Activity Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fitness Manager to join our team at Freedom Leisure. As a Fitness Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team to deliver exceptional service and ensuring the success of our fitness programs.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement fitness programs to increase activity levels and maximize sales and income generation.
- Manage our Exercise Referral Programme, supporting and developing health referral-based exercise programs to enhance the health outcomes of our community.
- Collaborate with local partners to monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and foster relationships to drive positive impact.
- Provide fitness advice and knowledge to support individuals in their training and wellness goals.
- A relevant Level 3 Fitness Qualification.
- Proven experience in working with patients with a range of health conditions.
- Experience in creating, planning, and delivering exercise programs, both one-to-one and in groups.
- An awareness of local health inequalities.
- Able to present and work with a mixture of partners, in the health system and sporting networks.
- Experience of problem-solving, organizational customer service, and staff management.
- Experience of at least three years in a fitness facility.
- Strong people management skills.
- A high awareness of industry developments, new activities, trends, and research.
- Good commercial awareness, translating into a successful and financially viable operation.
- A passion for the industry, demonstrated through continuous professional development.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, able to negotiate and persuade people both internally and externally.
- Excellent time management skills, able to deal with multiple priorities.
- A self-starter who inspires others with their passion and energy.
- Excellent communication skills, able to think on their feet.
- To be able to work flexibly with a good level of autonomy.
- A team-oriented approach, able to work across organizational boundaries and demonstrate interest and support for the work of staff and colleagues.
- Level 4 Qualification in Cancer Rehab, Pulmonary Rehab, or any other relevant qualifications.
- Safeguarding & Child Protection.
- First Aid.
- At least 12 months experience as a Level 3 Exercise Referral Instructor.
