Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Assay Scientist or Biomedical Engineer to lead the development, optimisation, and validation of in vitro diagnostic assays for our cutting-edge medical device Neutrocheck.

This is a unique opportunity to take the lead on assay development projects, working collaboratively with our Product Development and Clinical Teams, as well as our contract research manufacturer.

The ideal candidate will have experience in assay development, lab management, and regulatory compliance within the in vitro diagnostic space. They will be confident in their ability to prioritise tasks effectively, manage multiple stakeholders, and communicate complex information clearly.

We offer a competitive salary range of £50,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package including hybrid working, flexible schedule, generous holiday allowance, and pension scheme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading the development, optimisation, and validation of in vitro diagnostic assays
  • Collaborating with clinicians, patients, and engineering partners to design and deliver the product
  • Managing lab space and documentation within our ISO 13485 quality management system
  • Contributing to project management related to assay development, including working closely with our CROs
  • Communicating with team members, funders, investors, and collaborators on progress of product development
