MPOWIR Mentoring Physical Oceanography Women to Increase Retention is seeking a highly skilled Senior Research Oceanographer to join our team. This 36-month postdoctoral position offers the opportunity to work on two prestigious projects: SO-CHIC and ORCHESTRA. As a Senior Research Oceanographer, you will combine observational data to examine Weddell Gyre dynamics and interpret model output in the region.

The successful candidate will need a strong understanding of ocean dynamics, specifically subpolar gyre circulation and Antarctic dense water formation and export. Additionally, they will require a strong mathematical background and a track record of delivering high-quality scientific results.

This role offers the chance to engage with leading researchers and contribute to groundbreaking research in the field of physical oceanography. The salary for this position is approximately $60,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
