An experienced 2nd Line IT Support Engineer is sought for a dynamic IT support firm. This role will primarily handle escalated support requests.
The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in IT support, demonstrating a strong enthusiasm for technology and exceptional customer service.
Access to a vehicle is essential for this position, as it entails visiting client sites across the region.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing assistance to managed services clients by addressing hardware, software, and network challenges.
- Engaging directly with clients to minimize operational disruptions, ensuring high-quality IT support and building trust.
- Troubleshooting issues across various technologies, including Microsoft 365, network configurations, virtual environments, remote desktop, Windows Server, and internet connectivity.
- Managing Office 365 user accounts.
- Conducting desktop and server support and troubleshooting.
- Resolving complex support tickets efficiently.
- Maintaining precise issue tracking.
- Delivering outstanding customer service and conducting follow-ups.
- Quickly diagnosing and resolving technical problems.
- Visiting client locations as necessary.
- Documenting solutions to contribute to an IT knowledge repository.
We encourage applicants with the following qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in an IT support role, ideally at the 2nd line level.
- Proficiency in supporting Microsoft Office 365 and desktop environments.
- Familiarity with server and client configurations.
- Understanding of TCP/IP networking principles for effective troubleshooting.
- Experience utilizing remote access tools.
- Strong technical knowledge of PCs and desktop hardware.
- A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for work-related travel.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- A commitment to delivering superior customer service and enjoying on-site client interactions.
