Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Social Care Practitioner to join our team at Gloucestershire County Council. In this role, you will work with children, young people, and their families, assessing their needs and developing plans to support them.

You will be responsible for managing a caseload of complex and high-risk cases, including those involving child protection plans. You will also contribute to multi-agency working, helping to develop strategies to improve outcomes for vulnerable children and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess the needs of children, young people, and families to plan and implement suitable interventions and service provisions
  • Manage a caseload with a high level of complexity and risk, including those children subject to care proceedings and child protection plans
  • Undertake direct work with children, young people, and families to manage risk and achieve positive outcomes

Requirements

  • Social Work England registration
  • Recognised qualification in Social Work
  • Full driving licence and willingness to drive
  • DBS clearance
  • Substantial post-qualifying experience in a statutory children's services fieldwork team

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £42,297 - £47,349 per annum, subject to experience.
