Salary: £48,514 - £61,484 per annum.

About the Role

The Senior Emergency Practitioner will be a registered healthcare professional from a nursing, paramedic, or physiotherapy background, responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in an acute and emergency clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, investigate, treat, and refer or discharge patients with minor injuries and illnesses.
  • Work as an autonomous practitioner, directing and delivering a patient-focused service within Gloucester and Cheltenham EDs and the 'Nurse Led Service' at Cheltenham General Hospital.
  • Develop and implement policies, protocols, and guidelines relevant to area of practice.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Active RN Adult/Paediatric registration with the NMC or HCPC Registration on the Paramedic or Physiotherapy register.
  • United Kingdom recognised Degree in either Level 6 BSc within Minor injury & or Illness Or Level 6/7 Advancing Practice in Clinical Assessment, Reasoning and Differential Diagnosis for Urgent, Emergency and Primary Care Practitioners.
  • Non-Medical Independent & Supplementary Prescribing.
