We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Practitioner Lead to join our team in the Emergency Department at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, leading a team of healthcare professionals and providing high-quality patient care.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for assessing, investigating, treating, and referring or discharging patients who present with minor injuries and illnesses across all age groups. Your role will involve working as an autonomous practitioner, directing and delivering a patient-focused service in the Emergency Department and Urgent Care Centre.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Clinical leadership and accountability for the total episode of care for patients, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment/delegation, and referral or discharge.
  • Providing support and guidance to junior staff in decision-making and developing their clinical skills.
  • Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and efficient department operations.

What We Offer:

A competitive salary of £55,000 - £76,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including pension scheme, life assurance, and annual leave entitlement.
