About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Underwriter to join our team at Carolyn Bowers Insurance Recruitment. As a key appointment in our regional Construction underwriting structure, you will report directly to the Head of Construction in London.

Key Responsibilities

  • Underwrite new business spanning a diverse range of products, including but not limited to EL/PL, CAR, Plant and BI.
  • Mentor and coach less experienced colleagues, assisting with technical referrals and supporting their development.
  • Work closely with a diverse broker panel to deliver comprehensive insurance solutions.

Requirements

  • Specialist Construction Liability background with experience working with a diverse broker panel.
  • Strong relationships-focused outlook with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients.
  • Excellent technical knowledge and underwriting skills.
