About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Underwriter to join our Construction Underwriting team at QBE Management Services (UK) Limited. As an Underwriter, you will play a critical role in delivering our annual business plan by making informed decisions and adhering to underwriting standards and good practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of underwriting strategies and policies to minimize risk and maximize efficiency.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording and measurement of insurance risks.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including customers, brokers, and business partners.
  • Continuously develop expertise and technical knowledge through training and professional development.
  • Perform underwriting activities in accordance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop knowledge of market dynamics and market cycles to support business performance.
  • Motivate and coach team members to ensure relevant knowledge and expertise is shared.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a thorough understanding of class-specific underwriting and reinsurance knowledge, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment. You will also have strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to interpret data and communicate complex information to stakeholders.
