Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Construction Underwriting Specialist to join our team at Avencia Consulting. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for managing new business risks and delivering market-leading service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide and maintain a high level of underwriting expertise, demonstrating a thorough understanding of company guidelines and authority levels.
  • Review broker-generated quotes and collaborate with brokers to place business with our clients, highlighting our product benefits and negotiating terms.
  • Develop new broker relationships through regular development meetings with our Sales and Business Development teams.
  • Manage workflow from enquiry receipt to outcome through our workflow platforms.
  • Proactively seek new business prospects using our CRM system, in accordance with our CRM Working Practices guide. Provide coaching and knowledge transfer to the wider team.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in Construction underwriting and/or underwriting portfolios and binders.
  • Experience working with a specialist broker panel is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience dealing with clients through various channels. Proven ability to proactively manage own workflow.
