About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Cancer Services team as a Cancer Pathway Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality cancer services to patients in Lincolnshire and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Cancer Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meetings, ensuring effective coordination and communication between team members.
  • Manage patient data and records, using the cancer management information system to track patient progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Proactively manage waiting times for individual cancer patients, working closely with clinicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely access to treatment.
  • Support the development and implementation of cancer pathways and services, contributing to the improvement of patient care and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other departments and teams within the Trust to ensure effective communication and coordination of cancer services.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including clinicians, patients, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, and experience of using clinical systems and software.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to changing priorities and demands.
