Interdisciplinary Center Coordinator

The Interdisciplinary Center Coordinator is a full-time regular position at Southeast Community College. The successful candidate will provide professional coordination of simulation and clinical skills student experiences for Health Sciences Programs. This role will engage with activities related to the center's daily operations and learning support within the Health Sciences Division.
Key Responsibilities
The Interdisciplinary Center Coordinator will support simulations by preparing, creating, and testing scenarios with faculty instructors. They will establish and maintain effective workflows to ensure smooth simulation operations and optimal learning environments. Additionally, they will be responsible for facilities management, inventory management, and equipment procurement. The Coordinator will also troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and communicate with the Dean, IT, and simulation maintenance.
Support Learning
The Interdisciplinary Center Coordinator will onboard and train faculty and center staff in the operational aspects of simulation. They will create and implement simulation learning experiences into the Health Sciences program curriculum and for external partners. The Coordinator will also play a role in simulation teaching when needed and promote the center's mission and goals.
Participate in College-wide and Division Activities
The Interdisciplinary Center Coordinator will take an active role in college-wide and Division teams. They will serve on interview committees for employee candidates and represent the College in a professional manner at conferences and meetings. The Coordinator will also demonstrate attributes and qualities expected of students, such as dependability, punctuality, and professional appearance.
Individual Development Plan
The Interdisciplinary Center Coordinator will develop and implement individual, personal, and professional development activities within and outside the college. They will stay within budgeted resources for conference registration, board & lodging, and commercial and miscellaneous travel. The Coordinator will also work toward creating a welcoming, inclusive, equitable, and productive work and learning environment.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare profession/field and 2 years of experience with healthcare simulation. They will also have healthcare-related certification and a current Nebraska license in the profession. The Coordinator will maintain health requirements for clinical sites and have a strong understanding of computer software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. They will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to work effectively independently and as a member of a team in an interdisciplinary learning environment.
