We are currently looking for an Accommodation Services Coordinator to join our team at Connect2Dorset. As a key member of our housing management team, you will be responsible for managing Dorset Council's temporary accommodation services, ensuring clients have safe and well-managed housing.

About the Job

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of housing management principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will also need to hold a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle for regular travel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accommodation Management: Maintain the quality and safety of properties through regular inspections, coordinating repairs, and monitoring voids to ensure units are ready for new clients.
  • Tenancy and Financial Oversight: Oversee tenancy agreements, manage rent collection, and pursue outstanding payments to support income management.
  • Client and Partner Engagement: Serve as a point of contact for clients, landlords, and contractors, conducting visits to ensure accommodation standards are maintained.
  • Client Placement Coordination: Arrange and oversee placements for clients in emergency accommodations and support their transition out of temporary housing as needed.
  • Issue Resolution: Address and resolve complaints and anti-social behaviour, working with relevant services to manage issues effectively.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Conduct necessary safety checks and ensure accommodations meet all health and safety standards.

The salary for this role is estimated to be between £24,000 and £26,000 per annum, depending on experience.
