Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Medical Secretary to join our team at Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Paediatric Department and act as the coordinator for the Core Diagnostic Team.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support services to the Paediatric Department.
  2. Coordinating clinics, liaising with services, requesting and distributing reports, and coordinating next steps.
  3. Managing, scrutinizing, and prioritizing all incoming correspondence and emails, initiating responses on behalf of the Core Diagnostic Team where appropriate.
  4. Receiving and responding to incoming telephone calls, acting as a first point of contact for enquiries about the assessment pathway and clinics.
