About the Role

The role involves managing Dorset Council's temporary accommodation services, supporting clients in emergency housing, and collaborating with landlords, contractors, and other stakeholders. You will also be responsible for maintaining the quality and safety of properties through regular inspections, coordinating repairs, and monitoring voids to ensure units are ready for new clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tenancy and Financial Oversight: Oversee tenancy agreements, manage rent collection, and pursue outstanding payments to support income management.
  • Client and Partner Engagement: Serve as a point of contact for clients, landlords, and contractors, conducting visits to ensure accommodation standards are maintained.
  • Client Placement Coordination: Arrange and oversee placements for clients in emergency accommodations and support their transition out of temporary housing as needed.
  • Issue Resolution: Address and resolve complaints and anti-social behaviour, working with relevant services to manage issues effectively.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Conduct necessary safety checks and ensure accommodations meet all health and safety standards.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £22,000 - £24,000 per annum, depending on experience.
