About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Diabetes Midwife Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to women with diabetes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert midwifery care to women with diabetes, ensuring their individual needs are met and they receive the best possible outcomes.
  • Work closely with the Diabetes Specialist Midwife and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans that meet the needs of women with diabetes.
  • Conduct risk assessments and identify areas for improvement, contributing to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care.
  • Promote evidence-based practice and share knowledge and expertise with colleagues to improve patient outcomes.

Requirements
  • A registered midwife with current NMC registration
  • Experience working in a similar role, preferably within a busy NHS hospital
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and patients from diverse backgrounds
  • A commitment to professional development and continuous learning
