About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated midwife to join our team as a Specialist Diabetes Care Lead for Maternity Services.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a real difference in the lives of women with diabetes and their families.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development, coordination, and implementation of specialist diabetic services within the Maternity Directorate.

They will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver training, support students, new midwives, doctors, audit, and quality improvement.

The ideal candidate will have experience across the whole spectrum of pregnancy pathway, including normal and complex needs, covering both hospital and community-based care.

A minimum of three years' experience as a midwife, along with specialist knowledge and experience of diabetes management in pregnancy, is essential.

The successful candidate will also have current knowledge of National guidelines, standards, and recommendations impacting on maternity services.

The estimated salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
