National Services for Health Improvement Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Diabetes Nurse Specialist to join our team in primary care, focusing on improving patient outcomes and delivering high-quality care in line with national guidelines.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying sub-optimally controlled patients with Type 2 diabetes, optimizing their oral therapy, conducting point-of-care testing, and referring for specialist insulin treatment when necessary.

Key Requirements:

  1. Degree in Diabetes or equivalent qualification
  2. A minimum of 3 years of experience managing diabetes within primary care post-registration
  3. Proven ability to educate, support, and advise individuals with Type 2 Diabetes
  4. Skills in the optimization of oral hypoglycaemics
  5. Full driving license and NMC registration
  6. IT literacy, including proficiency in primary care systems
