Improving Patient Outcomes in Type 2 Diabetes

We are searching for an experienced Diabetes Nurse Specialist to work in primary care, aiming to improve patient outcomes and deliver high-quality care according to national guidelines.

In this critical role, you will be responsible for optimizing oral therapy, performing point-of-care testing, and referring patients for specialist insulin treatment when necessary, all while adhering to local and national Diabetes standards.

Key qualifications include:

  1. A degree in Diabetes or an equivalent qualification
  2. A minimum of 3 years of experience managing diabetes within primary care post-registration
  3. The ability to provide education and support to individuals with Type 2 Diabetes
  4. Knowledge of oral hypoglycemic optimization
  5. A full driving license and NMC registration
  6. Proficiency in primary care systems
