About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to join our Skin Cancer Care Team as a Skin Cancer Care Coordinator. In this role, you will provide comprehensive support and information to patients and families affected by skin cancer, working closely with our Clinical Nurse Specialists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and support.

Main Duties

  • Assist the skin CNS Teams in the daily management and support of people affected by skin cancers regionally and nationally.
  • Provide an additional source of contact for patients and their families/carers, helping to ensure seamless care as they move along their cancer pathway.
  • Work closely with clinical and administrative team members to provide comprehensive support and information to patients and families.
  • Act as a conduit between patients and healthcare professionals to ensure timely and effective communication.

Requirements

  • Relevant health or social care experience at Band 3 or equivalent.
  • Understanding of key referral pathways to Allied Health Professionals.
  • Experience in managing small projects and prioritising workload.
  • Previous involvement with data collection systems and ability to use own initiative.
