About the Role
We are expanding our capabilities and looking for a skilled Habitat Creation and Management Professional to join our team at Environment Bank. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and managing Habitat Banks across England.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage with external stakeholders such as farmers, landowners, and Local Authorities.

Main Responsibilities
  • Prioritize the creation of Habitat Banks based on Local Authority BNG credit demand and known purchaser demand, working closely with our sales team.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence to assess site suitability for Habitat Bank creation, coordinating with internal teams including ecology, project delivery, legal, and finance.
  • Work as part of a collaborative project team to create the Habitat and deliver capital works, then support the ongoing management of the site, liaising with landowners regularly.
Requirements
  • A relevant background in rural land management or a related field is an advantage, but not essential.
  • Experience with Farm Business Tenancies and relevant environmental matters related to rural land management would be beneficial.
  • Some understanding of utilizing Land Registry and other publicly available legal and land management data sources.
  • Project management experience, especially in the environmental sector, would be a significant asset.
  • A full UK clean driving license and willingness to travel for regional site visits and events.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary of £50,000 - £65,000 per annum, reflecting the importance of this role in our team.
