About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Waste Management Site Operative. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and proper handling, transfer, and disposal of recyclable, hazardous, and waste materials brought into the site by members of the public and legal traders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the opening and closing of the site as described in the working plan.
  • Provide directions and assistance to members of the public in disposing of waste.
  • Maintain quality standards in accordance with ISO specifications and as required by your line manager.
  • Ensure the safe use, operation, and storage of plant equipment.
  • Assist in other areas of the Civic Amenity site and Municipal operation as and when required.
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of the waste industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong standard of verbal English.
  • Ability to work flexibly, both independently and as part of a dynamic team.
  • Keen attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position working 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, Monday to Sunday, with a 1-hour lunch break. The pay rate for this role is £13.60 per hour.
