Join Our Team as an Information Point Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as an Information Point Officer at our household waste recycling centre in East Grinstead.

About the Role

As an Information Point Officer, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing them with information and assistance to ensure a smooth and efficient experience. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing information and guidance to customers on waste segregation and recycling practices
  • Assisting with the operation of the booking system and ensuring that commercial waste and non-compliant waste are prevented from entering the site
  • Offering information and assistance to members of the public to assist with the disposal of their waste
  • Assisting in the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the site, including assisting the general public visiting the site
  • Ensuring that waste brought onto the site is segregated as much as possible for recycling, adhering to Company policies and procedures
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to assist members of the public and other site users
  • The ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when required
  • Strong record-keeping skills and the ability to deal with difficult situations
