Biffa is looking for a HWRC Operative to assist the public at our East Kilbride Household waste centre with recycling and waste.
- Working with the public to maximise recycling on sites.
- Manual handling items on site assisting the public with various waste and recycling.
- Helping to ensure the site is clean and tidy at all times.
- Be proactive in promoting and maintaining a safe and friendly working environment.
**Requirements**:
Experience in dealing with the general public.
Good people skills.
Experience in the waste industry helpful but not essential.
Will be required to work weekends.
Essential
Must have a full UK driving license
Must have own transport
Shifts and Hours available:
Shift 1 - 4 on 4 off
Winter hours - 7:45am - 5:15pm (9.5 hours)
Summer hours - Mon - Fri - 8:45am - 8:15pm - 11.5 hours
Saturday - 8:45am - 7:15pm - 10.5 hours
Sunday - 8:45am - 6:15pm - 9.5 hours
Shift 2 - 5 over 7 shifted (Fixed)
The 5 over 7 or fixed shift will be Fri - Mon fixed 9 hr days (Summer 09:00 - 18:00, Winter 08:00 - 17:00)
