Strategic Account Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Strategic Account Manager to join our Respiratory and General Medicines Team at GlaxoSmithKline.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work closely with a cross-functional team, driving clinically differentiated product uptake in key accounts across London and Kent. You will be responsible for building value-added relationships with consultants, specialist nurses, and pharmacists to develop areas of mutual interest and drive strategic planning at a national, regional, and local level.
Key Responsibilities:- Drive product adoption in priority accounts, utilizing insights to inform strategic planning at multiple levels.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with relevant healthcare professionals to foster advocacy and understanding of customer networks and interdependencies.
- Stay up-to-date on respiratory pathways and decision-making processes impacting prescribing across key accounts.
- Promote preferential formulary inclusion for our product in all key accounts.
- Cultivate advocacy levels among key clinicians, collaborating with regional teams to deliver peer-to-peer endorsement and events aligned with the local account strategy.
- Maintain high-level product and disease area knowledge to influence product advocacy, leading to increased access and uptake of our medicines.
- Effectively communicate clinical data to customers, highlighting patient and system/NHS benefits to move them along the customer journey.

Requirements- Degree-level education
- Current ABPI certification
- Experience as a Hospital Sales Representative or Hospital Account Manager (Respiratory experience preferred but not essential)
- NHS knowledge and understanding
