Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Lead Care Practitioner to manage a small team of Support Workers in a community-based residential home for six adults with severe learning difficulties.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a dynamic team and provide exceptional care and life experiences for our clients. You will be responsible for conducting regular supervisions, ensuring smooth shift operations, and promoting the dignity and individuality of each resident.

About the Role

  • Manage a small team of Support Workers, providing guidance and support to ensure effective delivery of care services.
  • Conduct regular supervisions to monitor staff performance, address concerns, and provide feedback and coaching.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless communication and coordination across shifts.
  • Support residents in developing life skills, promoting independence, and enhancing their overall quality of life.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year's experience working with adults with severe learning difficulties and challenging behaviors.
  • Proven track record of leadership and team management in a care setting.
  • A valid current driving license and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in duties.
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Level 3 Diploma in Care).
