Job Summary

Mental Health Support Teams in Schools in H & W is expanding further. Due to expansion an exciting opportunity has arisen within the Herefordshire Locality for a trainee practitioner.

About the Role

We offer evidence-based low-intensity CBT interventions for children and young people (CYP), whole school approach, and consultations in schools.

The service is across H & W schools to provide early help for CYP ages 5-18 experiencing mental health problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be educationally supervised, assess, and deliver outcome-focused, evidence-based interventions in educational settings for CYP.
  • Developing skills in supporting CYP with mild to moderate mental health difficulties, parents/carers, and educators in the self-management of presenting difficulties.
  • Undertake accurate assessments of risk to self and others.
  • Engage and learn from aligned education setting/MH Links.
  • Practice, evidence, reflect on, and demonstrate an ability to manage one's own caseload.
  • Attend multi-professional meetings.
