**About the Role:**

We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Recovery Specialist to join our team at Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to work with individuals who have experienced mental health issues and provide them with support and guidance towards recovery.

Salary: $32,000 - $42,000 per annum

Job Description:

The successful candidate will have a personal experience of mental health services and be able to reflect on their own recovery journey. They will also have a wide range of life experiences to bring a positive and enabling view of opportunities for others.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish supportive and respectful relationships with service users
  • Provide peer support while maintaining professional boundaries
  • Share ideas about ways of achieving recovery goals, drawing on personal experiences and coping techniques
  • Sign-post to various resources and activities within the trust and local communities
  • Support service users to attend appointments and offer practical assistance

Requirements:

  • Lived experience of secondary mental health services and ability to reflect on their personal experience of recovery
  • Wide range of life experiences to bring an enabling and positive view of opportunities for others
  • Experience of being in a supportive and enabling role
