We are seeking a Mechanical Systems Specialist to join our team at Alstom in the UK. As a key member of our Services Engineering business, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of technical solutions for our customers.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for specifying train functions and associated sub-systems, leading technical studies to achieve required performances, and delivering technical solutions with supporting documentation.

This is a permanent position offering significant potential for career growth, with opportunities to work on a wide variety of legacy fleets and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To take ownership of work packages and deliver technical solutions within time and budget expectations.
  • Primary outputs include modification instructions, overhaul instructions, customer reports, bills of material, risk assessments, and standards checks.

Requirements

  • A relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Relevant rolling stock experience.
  • Good written and spoken English communication skills.
