Design Engineer

We are seeking a talented Mechanical Systems Engineer to join our team in Derby, Wolverhampton, or Widnes. As a key member of our Services Engineering business, you will be responsible for specifying train functions and associated sub-systems at the train level and leading technical engineering studies to achieve required performances.
This permanent role offers significant potential for career growth and is ideal for a mechanical or electro-mechanical engineer with relevant rolling stock experience. You will have suitable experience of writing requirement specifications, risk assessments, and defining and writing overhaul instructions.
The successful candidate will have a relevant degree or equivalent and excellent written and spoken English communication skills. You will take ownership of work packages and ensure that all parties come together for the successful conclusion of work to time and budget expectations.
The salary for this role is approximately £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive benefits.
