Vantage Consulting seeks an experienced Industrial Control Systems Designer to join our team in Widnes.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing, developing, and deploying software for industrial control systems within renewable energy projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop software solutions to automate processes and enhance system performance in renewable energy projects.
  • Implement and troubleshoot industrial control systems, integrating them with renewable energy assets such as wind turbines, solar panels, and energy storage systems.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal performance and efficiency of control systems.
  • Contribute to data collection, analysis, and reporting for system diagnostics, efficiency tracking, and predictive maintenance.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments in renewable energy systems, industrial automation, and control software.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proficient in Python; experience with other programming languages is beneficial.
  • Prior experience in industrial control systems, automation, or PLCs is highly desirable.
  • Strong passion for renewable energy technologies and sustainable practices.
  • Critical thinking skills with attention to detail, enabling troubleshooting and optimization of complex systems.
  • Able to effectively communicate technical information within a collaborative team environment.
