Job Title: Mechanical Equipment Specialist

Location: Widnes

About the Job:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Equipment Specialist to join our team at a global manufacturing business based near Widnes. As a key member of our facility, you will be responsible for designing, selecting, maintaining, and installing mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and select mechanical equipment to meet specific needs
  • Maintain and repair mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Carry out preventive maintenance tasks to prevent equipment downtime
  • Fault diagnose and repair mechanical equipment
  • Participate in confined space training and first aid training
  • Join our site Emergency Response team
  • Contribute to improvement initiatives to enhance overall efficiency
  • Overtime is available after 40 hours worked, with premium rates paid on Monday to Saturday and double time on Sundays
  • You may be required to participate in an on-call rota covering critical breakdowns (one week in four)

Requirements:

  • NVQ level 3 or C&G Apprenticeship in a Mechanical discipline
  • Good computer skills, including experience with preventive maintenance software
  • A working knowledge of relevant equipment and systems

Estimated Salary: £36,900 per annum
