Commercial Fleet Mechanic Specialist

Role Overview:
Irish Commercials is seeking a talented Commercial Fleet Mechanic Specialist to join our Service Department. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing commercial vehicles to ensure they are safe and roadworthy.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you will need to have excellent technical knowledge and practical experience in working with commercial vehicles. You should be able to diagnose and repair complex faults, as well as complete routine maintenance tasks to minimize downtime.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair commercial vehicles to ensure they are safe and roadworthy
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations
- Diagnose and repair complex faults in commercial vehicles and trailers
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives
Requirements:
- City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or related field
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within the commercial vehicle industry
- Strong knowledge of commercial vehicle systems, including brakes, engines, and electrical systems
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Familiarity with manufacturer's training courses and technical data
- Full UK driving license, with HGV license preferred but not essential
