Driver Position

We are seeking a skilled driver to join our team at Staffordshire House. This part-time opportunity will require the successful candidate to support the Driver Team Leader in delivering an efficient and effective transport service.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Maintaining knowledge of the fleet vehicle to ensure flexibility in driving various vehicles.
  • Performing regular vehicle checks to guarantee the safety of GPs, drivers, and members of the public.
  • Ensuring the secure transportation of drugs and clinical equipment, using appropriate procedures to record usage.
  • Notifying any necessary repairs to vehicles and equipment to ensure they remain fit for purpose.
  • Participating in license checks, driver assessments, and mandatory training for drivers.
  • Fostering positive communication with other drivers, GPs, dispatchers, and colleagues.

The shift patterns for this role include varied schedules, including evenings, nights, and weekends. The specific details are as follows:

  • Week 1: Thursday (18:00-00:00), Friday (23:59-08:00), Saturday (08:00-16:00 or 16:00-00:00 or 23:59-08:00), Sunday (08:00-16:00 or 23:59-08:00).
  • Week 2: Wednesday (18:00-00:00), Thursday (18:00-00:00), Friday (23:59-08:00), Saturday (08:00-16:00 or 16:00-00:00 or 23:59-08:00), Sunday (08:00-16:00).

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • A good general education, equivalent to NVQ 2 level.
  • Previous experience working in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of fleet maintenance.
  • A valid UK driving license with a clean driving record.

This role offers competitive pay, estimated to be around £22,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on location and experience. Additional benefits include:
