Child Mental Health Support Specialist

About the RoleWe are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Child Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team at North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust. As an Education Mental Health Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality outcome-informed interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate anxiety, low mood, and behavioural difficulties.
You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of experienced professionals, providing support and guidance to help children and young people achieve their full potential. In return, you can expect ongoing supervision and opportunities for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) tailored to meet your individual needs.
Main Responsibilities:
- To provide 1:1 therapeutic mental health interventions with children and families
- To work collaboratively with schools and other agencies to develop and implement effective interventions
- To contribute to the development of new services and initiatives that meet the needs of local communities
Requirements:
- Successful completion of the HEE commissioned 1yr 'Education Mental Health Practitioner' course
- Ability to carry out 1:1 therapeutic mental health interventions with children and families
