Job Description

We are seeking experienced and compassionate Mental Health Support Specialists to join our team in providing high-quality care to a young male in his own home. The successful candidate will assist with daily activities, attend Keele University, and work collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop and implement personalized care plans.

The role involves:

  • Supporting patients with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, and feeding
  • Assisting with clinical tasks as designated in the care plan
  • Implementing care plans tailored to individual patient needs
  • Monitoring and reporting changes in patient health status to the healthcare team
  • Helping patients with mobility, ensuring manual handling training is followed
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of patient activities and progress
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in Mental Health
  • Experience in challenging Behaviour
  • Self-harm and suicide awareness training essential
  • Breakaway knowledge
  • Proficiency in IT systems for record-keeping purposes
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
  • Ability to drive (advantageous due to shift times)
  • Familiarity with creating and implementing care plans for patients
