Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Manager to lead our MEH Engineering team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for delivering engineering projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the Contract Engineering Lead activities for HK8010 contract related to the 5 disciplines: writing technical specifications, answering technical queries, resolving construction open points, and coordinating exemption requests.
  • Implement the Triple 1 model across all disciplines, ensuring good monitoring, deployment of standard field solutions, delegation principles, and coordination of stakeholders.
  • Support construction Project Managers in establishing Key Performance Indicators to report site progress for construction activities.
  • Provide proactive technical support and expertise to close open points and technical queries raised by the construction contractor.
  • Coordinate interface with Front Office teams for Field Change Requests and Non-Conformances from site.
  • Ensure integration of post-construction activities into the construction sequence, including hydro pressure test loop definition, commissioning test pack review, and acceptance.
  • Coordinate all engineering activities to support construction sequence, including identification and implementation of improvements to processes and ways of working.
  • Manage transverse activities such as 3D scan, documentation control, and specific activities like PIA and NDT contracts.
Requirements
  • Proven experience working in an equivalent or related role in the construction industry.
  • Meticulous and rigorous approach to engineering to achieve high professional standards.
  • Proven ability to successfully deliver engineering safely to the correct quality, time, and cost in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment.
  • Strong people leadership skills to coordinate efficient delivery of their scope through empowerment of their team members and drawing on necessary support from others in the organization.
  • Ability to influence a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to work autonomously but with awareness of own limitations.
  • Knowledge of contractual and commercial mechanisms.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Degree in a related engineering field.
  • Chartered Engineer with a relevant engineering institute.
  • Detailed understanding of PWR design and experience in PWR operations.
  • Working knowledge of French language an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of CDM Regulations.
