We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Learning Mentor at Long-term Teachers Ltd. This exciting role offers the opportunity to work with young adults aged 16-25 who have complex learning disabilities, high support needs, personal care requirements, and epilepsy.
Job Description:As a Learning Mentor, you will be responsible for working with students in various community settings, including learning hubs, libraries, workplaces, and leisure facilities. Your primary focus will be on helping them develop life skills, assess their progress, and provide accredited learning tailored to their individual needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to advance their skills and experience in teaching and learning, particularly with young people who have challenging behaviours.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- Experience working with individuals with complex learning disabilities, high support needs, personal care requirements, and epilepsy
- Understanding of positive behaviour support and complex behavioural needs
- Ability to use creativity and initiative to tailor educational content and work experience accessible to students
- Flexibility to travel with students across the community
As part of our agency, you will receive:
